Experience the thrill of weaving through traffic with Race The Traffic, an exciting, fast-paced racing game.
Racing Through Unpredictable Traffic
Much like navigating the real-world roadways, Race The Traffic tasks you with the challenge of driving amidst unpredictable traffic. The goal is simple: navigate as quickly and as far as possible without crashing. The game offers a realistic driving experience as you never know the speed or direction of the oncoming vehicles.
Progression and Car Upgrades
There are three game modes to choose from: endless one-way, endless two-way, and one-on-one versus the computer. Each mode can be played during the day or night. Progression in the game is tied to earning dollars, achieved through improvements in distance covered, top speed, overtakes, and number of checkpoints crossed.
Initially, players only have access to one car. However, as you accumulate dollars, you can either upgrade your current vehicle's handling, acceleration, and brakes, or unlock a new ride. Alternatively, new cars can be unlocked through in-app purchases. It's worth noting though, the current selection only offers four additional cars.
Gameplay Mechanics
The game's controls are straightforward but can feel a bit unresponsive at times. Players have the choice of either tilting their device for steering or using on-screen controls. The control scheme is simple, encompassing acceleration, braking, and changing direction.
A noticeable drawback is the frequency of advertisements. An ad appears after every stage, which can become quite intrusive. An ad-free version is available for purchase, but those opting to play for free will need to tolerate a minimum ten-second ad after each stage.
Engaging But Repetitive
Race The Traffic offers an enjoyable and entertaining experience, but it may not stand out in the crowded field of racing games. Its gameplay, while fun, doesn't introduce any groundbreaking elements and can become repetitive over time, especially considering the limited variety of cars. Additionally, the frequent advertisements can disrupt the flow of the game.
